Aberdeen Angus are originally from the North East of Scotland, which enables them to withstand harsh winters. Our herd are black in colour, although some Angus are red. They are naturally polled, which means they have no horns.
In September 2020 we were joined by our small herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle , and now have about 40. They are a docile and friendly breed.
They spend the winter - and have their calves - in the barn, then as the weather warms up they are released back into the fields. They are entirely grass-fed with a supplementary organic mineral lick to make sure they have all the nutrients they need.
